So.. obviously there are politics and there's war, and there's just learning the game, but my question is, what are peoples plans after they have done that all, sure you can get way high in the tech tree do some cool stuff, hell you might even make 101 of a alloy to get the near perfection of a alloy to stick in certain designs like facility/battleship engine, but still I kinda am loosing the vibe, especially with the simplification of everything it's taking the fun out of being a theoretical scientist in BP. It's all predictable pasterns and simple motions with no discovery really left.

So again, the question but reworded, What next?

I am not in BP to be a theoretical scientist, and if that’s your interest well maybe gaming is the place for you. For the game to be a success it has to be accessable and non-tedious. I am not sure what you are calling simplifications since I was not here before open beta, however the small changes I have seen lately have been improvements to interface and game play. She I was not happy that my common minerals have all but gone poof on me, but they are making changes in the game that will make that less painful in the long run.

As for what is next? The Senate, the politics, the domination. The waning and waxing of empires. That’s what this game will be about in the long run. I am looking forward to that type of game play. I am looking forward to the nation building and the galactic sized battles that will rage across the cosmos.
