Hello, I got told about this game by a friend, um not quite sure whats going on I downloaded 2 clients for BP and one just seems to constantly crash while the other one dosnt seem to connect to any server, I cant really find any info or detailed information on this game hope someone could point me in the right direction.

if your having trouble installing the game you should look at this tutorial: www.beyondprotocol.org/component/option,...,7/func,view/id,583/

delete all the stuff you downloaded
they altered the download to be easyer to do

go to afterprotocol.com and download the thin installer client.

if it still doesnt work, we will try somethin else

I'm not sure how to solve your problem. Make sure the file is in a directory by itself. Perhaps run it as administrator rights. It should run a few times, exit, you restart, it gets the needed files, etc etc etc.

Everything on google points to either
1> Desktop color resolution non-standard
2> .NET framework not installed / working properly.

We re-compiled the game from .NET 2.0 to .NET 3.0/3.5 to see if that fixed ghosage.

Perhaps just keep trying?

Last night I played, logged off, kept my computer on. Next day I tried to log on again, program crashed 4 times. So I rebooted, tried again, third attempt to log on worked.

What might help is slowing down. I've been a professional debug programmer a few years ago, and once encountered a bug like this:

Program was built up in the following way:
-start part A
-start part B
-start part C

Part C depended on part A being finished. Starting part B USUALLY took long enough for part A to finish before part C was about to start, but not always. Sometimes the needed disk activity was slow, sometimes it was fast. But part C did not include a check whether part A was finished. And as the software was ported to faster hardware, the bug occurred more often.

bottom line: perhaps try slowing down clicking through the various steps of logging in. And try a few more times.
